Clearing the Trash to High Warlord Najentus

Overview

There are a number of trash packs littered throughout the area preceding High Warlord Najentus, the first boss of the Black Temple. However, these packs are not linked to Najentus, and packs which are still standing will not aggro when he is pulled; consequently, it is only necessary to clear six packs of trash before pulling Najentus (the ones that stand directly in your way, and the ones standing in his room).

Several Aqueous Spawns patrol the sewers at high speeds. Try to pick them off and kill them when the raid is not in combat. These Spawns are not especially dangerous, but they do respawn every 20 minutes, and are capable of healing Aqueous Lords.

Hunter Periodically the Leviathan will enrage. If you have Tranquilizing Shot, use it. If multiple Hunters have Tranquilizing Shot, coordinate a rotation to ensure that no one's Tranq gets wasted.

Tanks The strongest tanks should be on the Generals; the weakest tank (DPS geared) should be on the Soothsayer. Rogues will Sap the two Coilskar Sea-Callers; Tanks #1 and #2 should pick them up and tank them when Sap breaks.

DPS Kill the Skull, then X, then Square, then Moon. Wait for Tanks #1 and #2 to establish aggro on the Triangle, then kill the Triangle, and the Diamond.

Rogue If you were assigned to a Sea-Caller, you will Sap it before the encounter is initiated. Follow the DPS train until Sap breaks. Once it breaks, the Sea-Caller will be picked up by a tank; interrupt any spells cast by your assigned Sea-Caller until it is killed to reduce the damage being done to the raid.

Dual Lords

Abilities

Aqueous Lord (see above)

Assignment Macros

/rw - INCOMING TRASH ASSIGNMENTS -
/raid SKULL - Tank #1 (Aqueous Lord)
/raid X - Tank #2 (Aqueous Lord)
/raid Tank #3 (Aqueous Spawns)

Encounter Notes

Tanks Separate the Aqueous Lords and ensure that they are both facing away from each other and from the raid. When Aqueous Spawns appear, Tank #3 should establish aggro on them and bring them close to the raid.

DPS Kill the Skull, then the X. Whenever an Aqueous Spawn appears, Tank #3 will establish aggro on it; switch DPS to the Spawn and kill it ASAP, interrupting any spells that it casts. Then return to killing the Skull and the X.
