Overview
Sometimes refered to as "the pipe boss" because of people falling through the pipe leading to him. Gluth is the resident plague-hound of naxxramas said to have an appetite so voracious that even the living were not enough to satisfy his hunger.
Gear requirements
Like most Wrath of the Lich King raid encounters, this fight is tuned for players who are using level 80 epic gear, as well as the best flasks and food buffs available. Getting the best possible gear for your character will make this fight a whole lot easier.
In WotLK, professions can be used to craft high quality epic gear. Most raid bosses also drop an epic bind-on-equip item. These items are the easiest way to get your character geared up fast, but they're expensive to craft or buy on the AH. The easiest way to get your hands on them is to use a guide like WoW Gold Secrets, which has tips for making several thousand gold per day. This is a great way to save time and down bosses faster.

Preparation
Recommended Raid composition
10 Man:
2 Tanks
3 Healers
5 DPS Preferably at least one class that can kite (Mage, Hunter)
25 Man:
2 Tanks
5 Healers
18 DPS Preferably at least one class that can kite (Mage, Hunter)
On the Pull
Raid The Main Tank will exit the pipe first followed by the rest of the raid. Do not heal while in the pipe; Gluth's aggro table starts building as soon as you enter the pipe.
Main Tank Engage Gluth, drag him to the far corner of the room and begin building threat.
Melee DPS Follow the Main Tank and Gluth to the far corner and begin dps.
Ranged DPS All ranged except for the designated kiter can follow melee and start dps on Gluth.
Healers Have a healer aware of who is kiting zombies and have them hang back, the rest stay in range of the melee and tanks.
Phase One

Tanks During this phase the main thing going on is Gluth will be stacking Mortal Wound on the tank, the tanks must communicate between each other when to taunt Gluth and let the debuff wear off, a good number to taunt and switch tanks is every 5 stacks or so.
Melee DPS DPS Gluth, nothing special for you to do this fight.
Ranged DPS The designated kiter(s) should be doing all they can to gather zombies that come up through the grates and attempt to keep them relatively grouped together. The rest of the ranged should be dpsing Gluth.
Healers There should be at least one healer designated to heal the zombie kiter(s) just in case (if the kiters die it's a wipe). The other two healers should be focusing on the tanks as Mortal Wound will be stacking and gradually making healing more difficult. Also be aware of when tanks switch and begin preemptively healing.
Phase Two
This Phase begins as soon as Gluth casts Decimate. This will cause the entire raid to drop down to 5% hp, as well as causing the zombies to run towards Gluth to be eaten. The zombies also suffer a significant health loss.
Tanks You will continue doing the same thing as in phase one.
Melee DPS Keep DPS'ing Gluth.
Ranged DPS All ranged including the kiters should be snaring the zombies any way they can as well as AOEing them down to prevent them from reaching and healing Gluth.
Healers Heal the tanks back up to full first, then use any group heals you have to bring the rest of the raid back up to full hp.
As soon as all the zombies go down it turns back into phase one. Keep the zombie chow away from Gluth and this boss should go down without a problem. The greatest asset in this fight is to have a talented kiter.
