The Four Horsemen

The most powerful Death Knights within Naxxramas are the Four Horsemen. Champions of the Light in life, they are Kel’Thuzad’s elite guard.
Like most Wrath of the Lich King raid encounters, this fight is tuned for players who are using level 80 epic gear, as well as the best flasks and food buffs available. Getting the best possible gear for your character will make this fight a whole lot easier.
In WotLK, professions can be used to craft high quality epic gear. Most raid bosses also drop an epic bind-on-equip item. These items are the easiest way to get your character geared up fast, but they’re expensive to craft or buy on the AH. The easiest way to get your hands on them is to use a guide like WoW Gold Secrets, which has tips for making several thousand gold per day. This is a great way to save time and down bosses faster.
HP: Each Horseman has about 781,000 HP (Heroic: 2,370,000)
Each of the four horsemen has its own Mark. The four Marks each place a unique debuff incon on any player nearby that Horsemen, but the effects of the four debuffs are identical. They are cast at random intervals and each one stacks infinitely. The first stack will do 0 unresistable shadow damage. The second 500. The third 1500. The fourth 4000. The fifth 12,500. The sixth 20,000. The seventh 21,000. The eighth 22,000 and so on increasing by 1,000 every subsequent mark.
Thane Korth’azz Abilities:
Meteor- Deals 47500 to 52500 Fire damage, split between all enemies within 8 yards of the impact crater.
Mark of Korth’azz- Inflicts damage on all nearby enemies, and leaves a mark. The damage inflicted is increased by the number of mark stacks on the enemy.
Baron Rivendare Abilities:
Unholy Shadow- Shadowy energy lashes out, inflicting 4500 to 5500 Shadow damage and a further 1500 damage every 1 sec. for 8 sec.
Mark of Rivendare- Inflicts damage on all nearby enemies, and leaves a mark. The damage inflicted is increased by the number of mark stacks on the enemy.
Lady Blaumeux Abilities:
Shadow Bolt- Hurls a bolt of dark magic at an enemy, inflicting 8483 to 9517 Shadow damage.
Summon Void Zone- Summon a Void Zone that deals 4250 shadow damage per second to enemies that stand within it.
Mark of Blaumeux- Inflicts damage on all nearby enemies, and leaves a mark. The damage inflicted is increased by the number of mark stacks on the enemy.
Sir Zeliek Abilities:
Holy Bolt – Hurls a bolt of light magic at an enemy, inflicting 8954 to 10046 Holy damage.
Holy Wrath – Sends bolts of holy power in all directions, causing 2700 to 3300 Holy damage to the target and other nearby enemy targets, increasing by 50% between each jump.
Mark of Zeliek – Inflicts damage on all nearby enemies, and leaves a mark. The damage inflicted is increased by the number of mark stacks on the enemy.
Recommended Raid composition
5 DPS (one hybrid that can offheal)
Raid Leader You will be assigning the various tank roles in the fight, these should be assigned based on gear and ability, but in general, it should look something like this:
Thanes Tank – Your Main Tank
Baron Rivendares Tank – Your Offtank
Lady Blaumeux – A good tank to start on her is a holy paladin because they essentially never oom. A good substitution would be any spec of priest because power word:shield will mitigate alot of damage. If you have neither of these classes in your raid, any healer you feel is good at managing their mana and keeping themselves and possibly the Hybrid tank alive will suffice.
Sir Zeliek – Essentially any hybrid class can tank this, tho reccomendations would be an elemental shaman, shadow priest, or moonkin because they have a larger mana pool than the other hybrids.
On the Pull
Main Tank You will pull Korth’azz to his corner and begin building threat on him.
Offtank You will pull Baron Rivendare to his corner and begin building threat on him.
Ranged Tanks You should start in your respective corners prior to the pull and just stay in range of your target, as long as they are attacking you, you’re in a good spot.
DPS You will start with the Main Tank on Korth’azz.
Main Tank, Offtank The Main Tank Keep Korth’azz and Rivendare in their respective corners until each one has applied two stacks of their Mark to nearby players. When two stacks of each Mark have gone up, you must swap corners, and swap the bosses you are tanking. While running to the other corner, the Main Tank must taunt Baron Rivendare off of the Offtank, and the Offtank must taunt Korth’azz off of the Main Tank. Continue tanking them both in your new corners. During the switch generally you will acquire a third stack from the boss you’re tanking, which is why you begin to make the switch at mark two.
Once Korth’azz dies, the Main Tank and Offtank will continue the same routine going back and forth between bosses only this time it will be between Baron Rivendare and Sir Zeliek until Baron Rivendare dies.
At that point it will go back and forth between Sir Zeliek and Lady Blaumeux until Sir Zeliek dies and finally only Lady Blaumeux stands. With the first three dead, do not forget about the marks, more than three can still be fatal. The Offtank should be holding back and relaxing while dps is on Lady Blaumeux in case she doesn’t die before 3 marks stack
DPS All dps should be following the Main Tank wherever he goes in order to avoid stacking marks and dying. You will DPS Korth’azz until two marks stack on you, then follow the Main Tank and switch to Baron Rivendare, DPS’ing him until you’ve received two of his marks AND the original mark of Korth’azz has worn off. Then you’ll follow the Main Tank back to Korth’azz. This process continues back and forth until Korth’azz dies.
Once Korth’azz dies, continue to follow the Main Tank back and forth between Baron Rivendare and Sir Zeliek until Baron Rivendare dies.
With Rivendare dead, you will still following the Main Tank, now between Sir Zeliek and Lady Blaumeux until Sir Zeliek dies. At this point only Lady Blaumeux will be left to finish off. Don’t forget about Blaumeux’s marks, more than three can still be fatal and you may need to occasionally back away from her.
Healers Each of the four corners must have a healer in it. The Offtank must have a healer of his own to follow him around. The Main Tank and dps must also have their own healer to go back and forth with them.
The healer starting on Lady Blaumeux has a fun job; stand in range of her and heal yourself as she shoots shadow bolts at you, as well as keeping an eye on the Hybrid tanking Sir Zeliek, if they start getting low, toss them a heal to help them out, just dont go out of range, or into range of the boss your not tanking. (double marks are bad.)
Ranged Tanks You will be doing a dance similar to the Main Tank and Offtank, take two stacks of the mark and switch places, you must communicate with each other in order to switch as your tanking targets stand in place and will start to do aoe damage to the entire raid if there is nobody in range of them.
Once Baron Rivendare goes down you will both maintain the rhythem of switching targets so that you dont get double marks, and also so that there will always be somebody in range of both of them while the rest of the raid goes between them dpsing them down.
If all goes smoothly, Congratulations on completing one of the most technical boss fights in Naxxramas!
